Aaron Thomas (“we,” “our,” or “us”) built Water Tracker by GladTrack (“the App”) as a paid-unlock app with no subscriptions or ads. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We do not collect any personal information.
The App can use your microphone so you can dictate a drink or volume (for example, “glass” or “16 ounces”) instead of typing. Speech recognition runs on-device whenever your device supports it, meaning the audio never leaves your device. On older devices that don’t support on-device recognition, Apple’s speech recognition service may process the audio instead — in that case, audio is sent to Apple to produce a transcription and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not this one.
The App includes an optional, off-by-default setting to sync the water you log to Apple Health. If you turn this on, the App writes dietary water entries to Health so they appear alongside your other health data; if you turn it off (or never turn it on), no data is shared with Health at all. Any data written to Health is governed by Apple’s own Health privacy protections, not this policy.
The App includes an optional “suggest a goal for me” helper that can take details you enter (such as body weight, sex, and activity level) to compute a starting-point daily water goal. This information is used only for that on-device calculation — it is not sent to us. Only the resulting goal amount is saved if you choose to use the suggestion; the inputs are not retained as a profile.
Unlike some other GladTrack nutrition apps, Water Tracker does not use the camera for food photos, does not scan barcodes, and does not look up products on Open Food Facts or any other network nutrition database. Logging is based on volumes and simple drink descriptions you enter yourself.
The App offers a single one-time purchase (“Unlock Forever,” $4.99) that unlocks the App after a 7-day free trial. This purchase is processed entirely through Apple’s App Store using Apple’s standard in-app purchase system (StoreKit). We do not use any third-party purchase-verification service — Apple’s App Store is the only party involved in processing and verifying your purchase.

Because we do not collect personal information, there is no user data for us to use, sell, rent, or share for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, there is no data to review, delete, or otherwise manage on behalf of a child.
Since no personal information is collected or transmitted by us, there is no personal data at risk of being exposed by us. Your device’s own settings and iOS’s built-in protections govern the local app data (logged drinks, goals, favorites, purchase status) stored on your device, and Apple’s Health privacy framework governs any data you choose to sync to Health.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature that changes our data practices. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. This page is the current version at all times.
